GAME OVER? During a brief stay in Barcelona in 2011, I met two South Americans who asked for my point of view concerning Barrick Gold and the controversial Pascua Lama mining project in Chile. Silence. I didn’t know a thing about it. After listening to them, and reading a little about the subject, I thought it would be interesting to work something out of it. Created in 2012, this pixel artwork is inspired by this encounter, mixed with my experience of Barcelona’s International Festival of Advanced Music and New Media Art. Few links : : Ancient Sound - Space-Invaders - La Montaña Sagrada THINK DIFFERENT This work has been created for an art contest on Deviantart in 2011 (Tribute to Steve Jobs). Here I tried to capture the visual style of the Ipod campaign. I chose to play with the Apple logo in a scene with Adam and Eva. In the center of the "Apple", there is a pattern of dots inspired by Hofmann's molecule, which have apparently "inspired" Steve Jobs, as stated in an article titled Steve Jobs and Drug Policy, written by Glenn Greenwald. LAC DES CYGNES BACKUP SYSTEM Ce travail, intitulé "Lac des Cygnes Backup System", fut réalisé pour le concours de création digitale "Share One Planet" visant à promouvoir la lutte pour la protection des animaux et supporter le projet "Swan Lake Ecosystem Restoration" du Docteur Duan Jia et de ses collaborateurs en Chine. Le poème de Dù Fǔ 杜甫 (712 - 770) est intitulé “La rivière est bleue, l'oiseau d'un blanc immaculé” et se traduit ainsi : La rivère est bleue, l'oiseau d'un blanc immaculé, La montagne verdoyante, ses fleurs prêtes à s'embraser. J'ai regardé à nouveau le printemps mourir. Quand pourrais-je revenir? Le concours fut organisé en 2010 et 2011 par plusieurs partenaires dont la China Foundation for the Development of Social Culture, la China Institute of Strategy and Management (CISM), l’International Association of Computer Graphics Artists (IACGA), la China Association for Global Development under the United Nations, LeewiART International Computer Graphic Art Promoting Organization, et la Beijing Imperial Court Development Company Ltd. Les résultats du concours devraient être annoncés le 15 juin 2011. Une exposition est prévue pour les oeuvres retenues.
